PROJECT: THE CLUB AT COPPER RANCH
New Commercial Building - Hailey, Idaho
Description:
- Living
Architecture, which specializes in environmentally responsible
projects, designed this health club with interior tennis facilities.
The building is in the recently constructed Copper Ranch condominium
development in the Woodside subdivision in Hailey.
Unique Process:
- The
building envelope is constructed with Durisol block. Durisol is a
concrete form system made from recycled wood and concrete. The
finishes on the interior are non-toxic and designed with the health of
the user in mind. The project combines traditional building techniques
with progressive ideas.

PROJECT: POWER ENGINEERS
New Commercial Building - Hailey, Idaho
Description:
- Two levels of new
construction for offices and long-term data and file storage. Includes 6,000 sf of storage space protected
by clean-agent fire suppression system.
Robust electrical systems support extensive telecommunications systems. Includes provisions to support a potential
third level to be added in the future.
Unique Process:
- Construction of this office building occurred
directly next to POWER Engineers’ existing office building and annex. Since there was a lot of foot traffic between
the existing office building and annex, it was important to have a safe
job-site without significantly disrupting the normal activities of POWER
Engineers’ 300+ design professionals who work on-site.

PROJECT: WOOD RIVER INSURANCE
New Office Construction/Remodel - Hailey, Idaho
Primary Objectives:
- Three stories of new
construction, plus remodel and tie-in to existing small office structure to
build new commercial building on Hailey’s main street.
Unique Process:
- Coordinated
construction of new office space while business operated in existing space.
Communication with Owner was vital to ensure a smooth transition of the
business operations from the old to new space.
Renovation work on the old space continued after Young Construction
helped move the business to the new space.

PROJECT: 141 CITATION OFFICE BUILDING
Hailey, Idaho
Primary Objectives:
- Two stories of new
construction and tenant improvements for office and retail space.
Unique Process:
- Helped design a
project that offers maximum flexibility in tenant spaces. Design included up-to-date
security/communications features at a cost that made the project viable.

Primary Objectives:
- Two stores of new
construction and tenant improvements for office and retail space.
Unique Process:
- Assisted in designing
a space that would allow the Owner to fully utilize the limited size of their
lot for showroom, maintenance shop, yard displays and office space.
